R.I.P. Cecil Skotnes (1926-2009)

"CELEBRATED South African artist Cecil Skotnes died in a Cape Town hospital at the weekend after suffering a fall and contracting pneumonia. He was 82 years old"
ArtHeat extends its condolences to Cecil's family and friends. One can't historically consider South African art during the twentieth century without factoring in Cecil's fundamental role in its development. Rest in peace.
