ArtHeat Archives

I met an artist the other day. I was at the vet with my sick cat. His horse was ill. He's an older guy, involved with Everard Read Gallery. We got to talking a little. We chatted a bit about World Affairs and starving people and the proliferation of cows. Then he started to say, after we realised we were both artists though separated by many years, that the younger generation of artists and writers have lost touch with the older generation.Don't respect them. Don't want to learn. True, perhaps, I didn't recognise his name, although he has made a huge success. Maybe we are too obsessed with the politics of making art these days. Or it's a natural rebalancing.
Then, several days later I found this piece of paper slipped into my back pocket, and I decided to start ArtHeat Archives in honour of my friend and our brief conversation and with thanks to my mystery paper-slipper.

Is that a flyer for an Irma Stern retrospective? That would be the best flyer produced for a show of South African art, ever. probably.
The handwriting should maybe change, and i feel like i recognize it
