Sasol Wax Sleeps With The Fishes

Interesting news today, regarding Sasol who have been fined R3.7 Billion in Europe for forming a 'wax mafia' or paraffin cartel.
I won't laugh and say it serves them right for dropping the Wax Art Awards and drop-kicking Richardt Strydom. It more concerns me that the artists busy setting up for this years wax award (Stephen Hobbs, Avhashone Mainganye, Hentie van der Merwe, Brett Murray and Tracey Rose) get a touch of bad publicity by association. Exactly what money are they competing for?

is it any different from the Brett Kebble fiasco, we chose to look at our shiny shoes at the opening night. Oh, how we laughed ...
Sasol also makes commercials in which they steal imagery from artists who they neither consult nor pay.
