I went to see a psychiatrist. He said "tell me everything", I did, and now he's doing my act'

This story is burning up the internet at the moment:
Designer Nadia Plesner is being sued by Louis Vuitton for copyright infringement for the above image, which she is selling to raise funds for Darfur. An obvious play on Paris Hilton getting front page while starving kids are not, the image isn't much, but it's gotten up Louis Vutton's nose. Read more details by googling her name. The best bit is Loius Vutton has just produced a new bag in collaboration with Richard Prince, the old master of robbery.

It's a whole lot more interesting than anything else she's done. Nothing like a nice bit of real life genocide to kickstart creativity in our supposedly post-pc jaded global culture.

Despite her valiant efforts Nadia Plesner is still a typical European in that she perceives the reason for the genocide as being the Sudanese government. Actually the Sudanese government is being blamed for not resolving the conflict when the possibility of resolving it has been made unachievable by pressure from the US and Britain. They would like the conflict to continue as the chaos makes it easier for them to annex access to oil supplies which are currently being dominated by China. So given the players involved and the reason for their involvement, this has more to do with maintaining the simple life of Paris Hilton than it at first appears to.
