The Inchoate Idiosyncratic Descent into Nihilism

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

Carrie Timlin and Lily Luz present the final show in this series of one-nighters. This will however take on a new form and gallery space as it will run for a week. The show will consist of new work by all the artists who have participated thus far as well as work by artists who will be exhibiting for the first time in the series.

The show will deal with the concept of art detached from meaning and reason. The emerging ideas in our art scene at present demands art that is “fun” and without unnecessary connotations and a defined need to search for deeper insight or significance. It is likely that the adverse will occur as it is human nature to search for this supposed meaning, which leads to understanding and therefore connection with an artwork.

Closes: 15 October 2007
