Skull Sold

Monday, June 18, 2007

Rumour filtering down from a connection in Basel is that Damien Hirst's small skull has sold. For the asking price: an African country. Yes it is true: Chad has given all it's natural resources as collateral for the skull, For the Love of God.

Ladies and Gentlemen, history in the making.

Dear Robert Sloon

I've been searching all over the place trying to find out more details about this skull to find out what you actually mean, but I'm stumped. Has the skull been sold to someone from Chad? Or are you talking about the value of the skull IF it was sold? I can't find any news that it's found a buyer at all.

Dear Anonymous,

I heard a rumor from a friend who was in Basel, that apparently it has found a buyer. Conjecture, purely.
I won't rule out the possibility that Chad sold all its natural resources. We wait with baited breathe, for more concrete news.

well, it's a good rumour. considering the skull was thought to suit the drawing room of an african dictator.
