Not Afraid of What if The World...

Friday, December 01, 2006

Hello,

Apologies for the group mail, but I wanted to let you know about the limited run of "Not Afraid Of Art" tee-shirts created by Vanessa Jaich and myself which will be on sale at the What If The World gallery (Hope Street) from this evening (Friday December 1st, 17H30).

The concept was stolen from Maurizio Cattelan's "Not Afraid Of Love" work, which was also seen on a tee-shirt worn by Mario Todeschini, bought for him by Sophie Perryer at the Venice Biennale. We decided that art was more fearsome than love, and hence created ours.

The tee-shirts are one off's and come in small, medium and large with beautiful Georgia text in black on white, white on red, red on black and red on white only. They cost R150 each and look decidedly handsome.
The work is limited to a run of 10 (with two artist proof's), and each piece is individually signed by James Webb and Vanessa Jaich.
Thanks,
James
