The Cape Town Biennale 2006
Rumours that there will be no biennale in Cape Town this September are vastly exaggerated. In response to the Cape Africa Platform's postponing of their not-a-biennale, we are proud to present the entire event at blank projects. All artists, official and fringe, are hereby formally invited to submit the works that they would have exhibited at the Trans Cape and X-Cape events, from 13 September at blank projects, 198 Buitengracht Street (cnr Buitengracht and Buiten), Bo-Kaap, Cape Town.
Andrew Limprecht will act as CEO, Artistic Director and Chairperson of the Board. Kathy Coates, formerly of Limpopo Province, will be curator. Bring your work and join us for a drink from 17h00 this evening (13 September) at blank projects
Next week 20 September (17h00) will be the official opening
Work can also be viewed on 27 September as part of the Artnite.
