We Are Family

ArtThrob was so much fun this month. Mario Pissarra posted a indignant reply to Malcolm Payne's Opinion piece last month. The response to an opinion in response to an article in response to an article about an old Biennale isn't that interesting, but the reworking of a Sister Sledge song is really funny, and at least a little bizarre. And I'm sorry about the trauma suffered at the hands of Jock and "Carrot", but we all had a tough time at high school. I did try and get rid of those problems at Art School... The next bit of fun was this amazing article by someone called Robert Troon (Thanks Pall Edmunds). And then Linda Stupart's piece on ArtHeat, I mean on blogs, was great. But then she got trashed by Nathaniel. I thought he was non-aggressive! Again, she did call him a nepotist and a blatant self-promoter, but it was in the nicest possible way. (Nathaniel:7 out of 82 posts mention Ed Young, you misrepresent us, but maybe not utterly. Cape Town is small after all. 2 posts mention you) On this note I'll take a time-out for a bit of seriousness. ArtHeat is looking for Jo'burg and Durban contributors, but the people we have asked are lazy mother-fuckers, or maybe just busy... E-mail us at artheat@gmail.com and you could become part of our happy family.
