ART GALLERY DIRECTOR

Applications are invited for the post of gallery director to the Association for Visual Arts Gallery in Cape Town, from Jan 2007

Duties: Admin. of gallery & organization of exhibitions. Client liaison. Fundraising. Human resources management. Marketing & sale of art. Management of gallery resources.

Requirements: An understanding and appreciation for a diversity of visual art. Ability to multi-task. Time-management. Ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of people.

Key skills: Good written and verbal communication, MS Word, Excel, Outlook Express and Photoshop. Pastel a recommendation.

Applicants are required to submit a one page motivational letter,

a CV and 3 contactable references by post, fax, or e-mail, by

30 July 2006 for the attention of the Director, Mrs Estelle Jacobs.

Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
